Our Wedge Issue

Somebody has to ASK ALL OF THESE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE NIMRODS - of BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES - this one important question:

Would you allow YOUR CHILDREN to get their science education from the promoters of The Creation Museum ? - and if so, would you ALSO be comfortable sending your kids to The Unicorn Museum ?

We progressives are far too proud of our bridges. Half of the country is still brainwashed by the far-right - so we should give the electorate a little bit of what they want; walls and wedges. If divisions are going to be drawn anyway, let's at least draw the accurate distinctions. Let's highlight those issues that separate us from the red-state, red-neck, mouth-breathing knuckle-dragging cousin-kissers.

I'd urge all educators, scientists and even modern, (non-witch burning) American parents to USE the embarrassing and historically factual 21st century existence of something as nutty as the creation museum and the unicorn museum - and their shared biblical origins - as teaching tools. Liberal historians are LOVING this whacky-ass behavior by the far-right. Our Beloved Leader and Godly Commander-in-Chief, Captain Smirky McFlightsuit - and his mad band of Neocons and Theocons - might very well be the greatest gift that the Republican Party could have ever given us liberals - let's utilize this rare act of GOP generosity by the far-right.

This is a moment of monumental change and clearly defined distinctions in this country - much like the civil rights movement - this is what smart liberals call "a teachable moment". YouTube is the new Journalism! The Internet Archives version of History is recording EVERYTHING and 2 weeks from now, as well as 10 years from now, the people who were kissing the Christian conservatives' collective ass will be the LAUGHING STOCK of the entire planet.

I seriously cringe when I see some of these people making such ridiculously backwards statements. I actually feel embarrassed FOR THEM. All WE LIBERALS have to do is (1) don't interupt our adversaries while they're happily tearing themselves apart and publicly making fools of themselves - 2) give them plenty of rope for their self-lynching party - and 3) stand PROUDLY on THE OTHER SIDE of this 'intellectualism vs. faith-based fascism' divide - and smile.
