Rudolf Diesel

Who was Rudolph Diesel? He basically INVENTED the modern scientific field we now call "biofuel technology". His patented Diesel engine was originally built to run on vegetable oil and other waste by-product sources. When the diesel engine was developed for commercial and industrial use, the petroleum interests made sure that it was converted to use a waste by-product of THEIR main source of income. Today, the efficient and elegantly designed engine AND the dirty, polluting, smog-throwing fuel oil BOTH bare the inventor's name.

From my limited reading about this fascinating historical scientist, internationalist and thinker and his life's work, I think that he probably would have HATED the association of his name with a filthy, non-renewable petroleum by-product.

CAUTION! Some dishonest or poorly researched web sites still try to assert that this part of our shared history is "a legend" or "a myth" or even "a conspiracy theory" - when in fact, it is now a well-known, well-documented, admitted and criminally prosecuted factual crime against the public trust - there are several precedent-setting, historically well-detailed instances of ACTUAL CRIMINAL CASES being filed by prosecutors involving CONSPIRACY CHARGES, INDICTMENTS and CONVICTIONS.

- These so-called "conspiracy theory" legal cases went all the way to the United States Supreme Court -

"The scandal ultimately reached the United States Supreme Court in United States v. National City Lines Inc. 334 U.S. 573, 596 (1948) ("National City I")[2] which reversed lower court rulings on the case. The proceedings were against General Motors, its subsidiary National City Lines, and seven other corporations. They were indicted on two counts under the US Sherman Antitrust Act. The charges, in summary, were conspiracy to acquire control of a number of transit companies, forming a transportation monopoly (all defendants were acquitted on this charge), and conspiring to monopolize sales of buses and supplies to companies owned by National City Lines (General Motors alone was convicted on this charge)."

- Remember, no matter WHAT the faith-based fabricators, the politically conservative far-right, the corporate-owned media liars and the FOX News brain-washers try to tell you - a "FACT" is NOT the same thing as an "ARGUMENT". They are NOT 'Fair and Balanced' equals - and as long as RATIONAL, LOGICAL, REALITY-BASED PEOPLE continue to live and breath - they never will be.

...but don't beLIEve me...

Don't beLIEve anyone about anything.

*T H I N K* for yourself! (and HURRY - before it's too late!)
